The National Laboratories are a special place where team science is conducted to tackle grand challenges, like the just announced Fusion Ignition at NIF, that have significant impact on national security and energy. Researchers come to the labs as undergraduates and are drawn in by the opportunity to be part of large, interdisciplinary teams working on important problems that move humanity forward. The labs offer a unique and exciting environment for conducting scientific research and making a difference in the world.
